Description
History
The Poderi Sanguineto company was born in 1958 when Federico Forsoni decided to buy the farms located between Montepulciano and Acquaviva in the province of Siena, 35 hectares of land. In 1983 the farm passed into the hands of the daughter Dora, the youngest of 9 children. Born and raised in the countryside, only after various work experiences did she decide to return to the family farms, discovering that her bond that having learned the art of winemaking from her father began to take over the reins of the farm, transforming it over time into wine production business. Dora is dedicated to the cultivation of native vines such as Prugnolo Gentile, Mammolo, Malvasia, Trebbiano, Grechetto and Canaiolo nero. The sale was managed exclusively by word of mouth for a local market, today Poderi Sanguineto almost completely exports its products, having gained important collaborations over time that have allowed it to conquer the markets of Japan, the United States, England, Peru, Belgium , Germany, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Australia, Canada and others.
