Description
History
Founded in 1999 in Loreto Aprutino, Pescara province, Torre dei Beati stems from the passion of Adriana Galasso and Fausto Albanesi for quality viticulture. The winery’s name is inspired by a detail from a 15th-century fresco in the local church of Santa Maria in Piano. From the beginning, the winery has focused on producing organic wines that best express the Abruzzo territory.
Grape Variety
- Montepulciano 100%
Production Method
Grapes, cultivated on clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level, are hand-harvested with selection in the vineyard. Vinification includes cold pre-maceration and a total maceration of 20 days in steel tanks. Aging occurs over 12 months, half in 30 hl Slavonian oak barrels and half in second-passage French oak barriques, to maintain fruit purity and add a light spiciness.
