Description
History
The name “Monte Alban” derives from an ancient Zapotec archaeological site near Oaxaca, reflecting the deep cultural and historical roots of mezcal in the region. This spirit is produced following traditional methods that date back over 500 years, developed by the Aztecs.
Production Method
The agave piñas are cooked in underground ovens, giving the mezcal its characteristic smoky flavor. After cooking, the piñas are crushed, fermented, and then double distilled to achieve the desired purity. The double distillation process ensures a high-quality final product.
