Description
History
Domaine Dominique Cornin is a biodynamic estate in the Maconnais, with the “Les Bruyères” vineyard in the commune of Fuissé. In 2022 Cornin harvested healthy grapes, employed controlled fermentation, and low yields to ensure aromatic concentration. This wine respects both soil and identity, aiming for balance between fruit and freshness—boosted by thermal variations and stony soils. It is also certified organic.
Grape variety
Chardonnay 100 %
Vinification
Fermented partially in stainless steel and partially in barrels, with moderate wood use; aged on fine lees to build body and texture, while preserving freshness and balance.
Alcohol content
13 %
Tasting notes
Bright straw yellow. On the nose there are aromas of white fruit (apple, pear), delicate floral tones, sweet citrus and a mineral hint of blue stone; on the palate it is soft and enveloping, balanced by acidity, medium‑bodied, with good persistence and a clean finish.
Food pairing
Pairs well with grilled or butter & lemon fish, shellfish, poultry with light sauces, creamy risottos and soft cheeses. Also excellent on its own. Serve at 10‑12 °C.
