History
The distillery has been present on the island since 1845, when it was created by Jean Marie Martin, who later named the distillery with his initials. In 1914 it will then pass to Gustave Crassous de Médeuil and from then on all subsequent generations will undertake to preserve and preserve the translation of producing agricultural rhum of the highest quality. All the sugar cane that is then distilled comes from owned lands, on soils of volcanic origin that give these products the typical mineral note that distinguishes them and the elegance of the aromas.
Production method
To produce an agricultural rum, the starting “base” is given exclusively by the distillation of pure fermented sugar cane juice. This is a procedure that was adopted for the first time in the Central American islands of former French domination, especially Martinique. Usually from this procedure more complex and elegant products are obtained, characterized by notes that tend to be drier and more dry than the rest of the rums.

Tasting notes
Dark amber colour. On the nose notes of sweet spices such as chocolate, caramel, vanilla, boisé and toasted coffee. On the palate it is harmonious, broad and slightly viscous, characterized by great elegance and a splash of minerality. Persistent finish that returns to spicy notes.
