Description
History
The Zusslin winery, founded in 1691, is one of the oldest and most respected in Alsace. Located near Orschwihr, it is known for its biodynamic vineyard management, which allows the terroir’s personality to shine. The Bollenberg vineyard, characterized by calcareous soils, imparts unique minerality and complexity to the Gewurztraminer.

Production method
- Harvest: Handpicked, with rigorous selection of the best grapes.
- Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks to preserve varietal aromas.
- Aging: In stainless steel and bottle, enhancing freshness and complexity.

13.5% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Bright golden yellow.
- Aroma: Intense and complex, with notes of lychee, rose, sweet spices, and tropical fruit.
- Taste: Soft and enveloping, with pleasant acidity and a long, mineral finish that balances the grape’s natural sweetness.
Possible pairings
Perfect with spicy Asian dishes, blue cheeses, foie gras, and fruit-based desserts. Also excellent on its own as a meditation wine.
