Description
History
The history of the Fiegl company begins as early as 1782 when Valentino Fiegl buys the vineyard called “Meja”. The Oslavia area is the heart of vine cultivation in the Collio, one of the most important wine-growing areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia. During the various generational passages, the family has constantly invested in the quality of the products. Today two generations are at the helm: the brothers Alessio, Giuseppe and Rinaldo strongly wanted to produce both white and red wines that were able to express the richness of the Friulian terroir. The younger generation, on the other hand, sees Martin, Robert and Matej Fiegl as protagonists who studied at the faculties of oenology and now bring innovation and enthusiasm, both in their work and in production and winemaking techniques. The company’s cultivation style has always been with a very low environmental impact, with yield control and the use of eco-compatible products and manual harvesting in crates. The lands extend over an area of about 30 hectares with a total production of about 130,000 bottles a year.
