Description
History
The history of the Fiegl company began in 1782 when Valentino Fiegl purchased the vineyard called “Meja”. The Oslavia area is the heart of vine cultivation in the Collio, one of the most important wine-growing areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia. During the various generational transitions, the family has constantly invested in the quality of the products. Today two generations are at the helm: the brothers Alessio, Giuseppe and Rinaldo strongly wanted to produce both white and red wines that were able to express the richness of the Friulian terroir. The younger generation, on the other hand, features Martin, Robert and Matej Fiegl who studied at the faculties of oenology and now bring innovation and enthusiasm, both in their work and in their production and winemaking techniques. The company’s cultivation style has always been with a very low environmental impact, with control of yields and the use of eco-compatible products and manual harvesting in boxes. The land extends over an area of approximately 30 hectares with a total production of approximately 130,000 bottles per year.
