History
The winery is owned by the Fronti family, whose origins are peasants. In 1959 Bruno Fronti created an agricultural service business from scratch, which he then made to grow successfully thanks to the collaboration with his sons Fabio and Stefano. Working in the wine sector for many years, in 1982 the first land was purchased to plant the vineyards. The company is 20 hectares mainly in the municipality of Radda in Chianti and also in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. The family’s goal is to optimize what nature offers and the viticultural peculiarities of the highest areas of the Chianti region. They are certified organic since the 2016 harvest.

Production method
The wine is produced by hand harvesting and subjected to alcoholic fermentation in cement tanks at a controlled temperature for 15-20 days. This is followed by maceration on the skins for about 45 days in a submerged cap, before undergoing malolactic fermentation in cement tanks. Subsequently the wine is aged for 12 months in 20 or 30 hl Slavonian oak barrels and then for about a year in the bottle for final refinement.
