Monte Bernardi dates back to the year 1085. The vine fields are made up of a third who are over 40 years old, a third who are over 13 years old and a third who are less than 10 years old. The first wine was made in 1992. Subsequently, they were sold to neighboring farms. In 2003, the Schmelzer family bought Monte Bernardi and since then have devoted considerable effort, affection and resources to the vineyards, the cellar and the stately home.
Fermentation and vinification in cement and stainless steel tanks, aging for 18-24 months in large barrels.
Intense ruby colour. On the nose a rich and ripe fruit, with notes of succulent black cherry, blueberries and delicate nuances of roses. It stands out for its elegance and warmth, offering a medium body, a soft texture and a pleasant freshness that balances harmoniously. The finish is extraordinarily persistent, leaving a lasting impression.
It goes perfectly with roasted or grilled meat, game and aged cheeses.
