Dievole has been producing wine since 1090 and the company has been constantly evolving ever since. The 1980s and 1990s ushered in a new era – the Dievole logo and a graphic on the label emphasizing the characteristics of the wine itself. The golden background – which over time has been uniform, striped or mottled – represents the land itself, the terroir of this unmistakable Chianti Classico, to underline the hospitable nature of this place, a characteristic that has always represented it. For Dievole, 2013 is the Renaissance of the winery, which has among its values: heritage and land, hospitality and people.
Chianti Classico is mainly produced using Sangiovese grapes, subjected to an aging period of at least 12 months in wooden barrels and a further refinement in the bottle.
Intense ruby red colour. On the nose notes of red fruit, cherry, ripe berries such as blackberry, floral such as violets, roasting spices, coffee, black pepper and cloves. In the mouth it is full-bodied, juicy, rich, full and fresh, the tannins are fine and elegant, the finish is velvety and warm.
The ideal combinations are with red meats, stewed meats, mushrooms and aged cheeses.
