Monteraponi is a medieval village located in the Radda in Chianti region at an altitude of 470 metres. The company covers an area of about 200 hectares, of which 12 are dedicated to the cultivation of vines and 8 to the cultivation of olive trees in a natural amphitheater facing south. In the cellar, few technologies are used: the fermentation takes place in cement containers using native yeasts and the maturation takes place in large oval barrels. All products are certified organic.
Spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in vitrified cement tanks, without the addition of yeasts and without temperature control. Aging is 16 months in large oval French or Slavonian oak barrels. At least one month in a concrete tank
Ruby red colour. On the nose notes of red fruit, violet, green pepper and raspberry. The minerality deriving from the soil is perfectly integrated with the typical freshness of the area. In the mouth it is full-bodied, warm, enveloping, elegant with graceful and fine tannins.
It goes perfectly with roasted or grilled meat, game and aged cheeses.
