Description
History
The family vineyards are located in 5 villages, halfway up the hillside of the Montagne de Reims, with south-east exposure on a limestone and clay soil from the Sparnacian. Just under one hundred different parcels, all Premier Cru, take advantage of different soils and microclimates for greater aromatic richness. The average age of the vines is 38 years. The oldest parcel was planted in 1924 and one, “Les Linguets”, was planted ungrafted in 1953 on sandy soil which prevents the development of phylloxera.
