History

The Delavenne Père et Fils company is one of the oldest and most respected Champagne producers in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France.

The history of the company begins in 1920, when Louis Delavenne, the founder, bought his first vineyard in Bouzy, in the Grand Cru region of Champagne. Over the years, the company has evolved, passing from generation to generation, up to the current owner, Jean-Pierre Delavenne.

Jean-Pierre, together with his son Adrien, continues the family tradition, dedicating themselves to the production of high quality Champagne, using traditional cultivation methods and respecting the unique terroir of the region.

Today, the Delavenne Père et Fils company owns around 9 hectares of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Bouzy region, and produces a range of high quality Champagnes, including Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs and Champagne Rosé.

Production method

After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed to extract only the best juice. The juice is then fermented in wooden and stainless steel barrels to obtain the base for the wine.

Subsequently, the wine is bottled with a small amount of sugar and yeast, which allow the creation of the characteristic effervescence of Champagne during the refermentation in the bottle.

It is then aged in the cellar for at least 24 months, acquiring the complexity and finesse of the best Champagnes.

Tasting notes

The Champagne Grand Cru Brut Tradition Delavenne 75 cl offers a tasting experience of great refinement. The bright golden color and the fine and persistent bubbles anticipate a bouquet of fruity and floral scents. On the palate, a great complexity emerges and a perfect harmony between freshness and softness, with notes of apple, pear and peach, followed by a long and pleasant finish of almond and vanilla.
