Chartogne Taillet was founded in 1920 in Merfy, in the Champagne region of France. The company was managed for many years by the Chartogne family, but was taken over by Alexandre Chartogne in 2006. Alexandre has continued the family tradition of producing high quality Champagne, using organic and biodynamic viticulture techniques to preserve the health of the soil and of the screws.
Pinot Noir 100%
The first fermentation takes place in oak barrels and the second in the bottle, the refinement lasts 48 months on the lees.
Straw yellow with sparkling golden reflections. The intense bouquet reveals ripe fruity aromas, notes of bread crust, vanilla and a harmonious combination of spices and roasts. On the palate, it has a good structure with a complex and deep center of the mouth, which gives a long and satisfying sip. The finish is perfectly balanced, characterized by a mineral and saline freshness that makes it persistent and delicious.
It can be combined with fish and seafood dishes, however it is equally pleasant to taste as an aperitif.
