Description
History
La Maison Gamet is the story of a family who alternated between the villages of Mardeuil and Fleury-la-Rivière in the Champagne region. François Gamet joined his grandmother on the farm in Mardeuil, while his son Philippe met his wife Fabienne in Fleury-la-Rivière. Both come from winegrowing families and founded their own winery by combining their knowledge and heritage. Today, with their children, Maison Gamet represents the crossing of generations.

Production method
The production method involves a double fermentation: a classic alcoholic one common to the rest of the wines and a second fermentation in the bottle, followed by a maturation of at least 15 months in contact with the lees. At the end of this period, an operation called disgorgement is carried out, which is nothing more than the removal of the yeast sediment, to allow the bottle to be ready for consumption. The end result is a sparkling wine yes, but complex, elegant and of high quality.

Tasting notes
Straw yellow color with an amber note. On the nose notes of ripe yellow fruit, purple flowers, but above all a great iodized minerality, with some notes of bread crust and yeast. Powerful, deep in the mouth, it ends with a great acidity and the iodized notes that close the sip are found.
Possible combinations
It goes well with delicate dishes such as seafood, sushi and raw fish. Alternatively, it can be served with aged cheeses, shellfish and chicken or veal dishes.
