Description
History
Founded in 1883, Maison Sadi Malot is located in Villers-Marmery, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Currently managed by the fifth generation of the family, the estate continues to produce high-quality Champagne with respect for tradition and the environment. Since 2004, vineyard management has adhered to organic farming principles, and in 2014, the estate achieved HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification. The estate is currently transitioning to biodynamic practices, aiming for AB (Agriculture Biologique) certification.
Grapes used
- 100% Chardonnay.
Production method
- Blend: Wines from the current vintage with the addition of 45% reserve wines from a solera started in 1982.
- Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine’s freshness and fruity aromas.
- Aging: At least 15 months on the lees to develop complexity and structure.
- Dosage: Brut.

Tasting notes
- Color: Straw yellow with greenish highlights.
- Aroma: Mineral notes of oyster shell and chalk, accompanied by hints of orange marmalade, clementine, honey, and acacia flowers.
- Taste: Creamy with a citrusy attack; rich, full, and persistent, with final notes of citrus and candied fruit.
Possible pairings
Perfect with seafood, oysters, sushi, and white fish dishes. Also excellent as an aperitif.
