Description
History
Domaine de l’A is the winery of Stéphane Derenoncourt, a renowned wine consultant, and his wife Christine, an expert in winemaking. The letter A represents Love or Adventure, as this project was born with a significant dose of risk and idealism. The estate is located in a wonderful vineyard with old vines located on the best clay and limestone soils in the south of the Côtes de Castillon appellation, close to the prestigious sites of St-Emilion.

Production method
The harvest of the grapes takes place at the optimal moment of full ripeness, followed by a process of destemming and maceration which lasts for approximately thirty days. Subsequently, we move on to the pneumatic pressing and mixing phase. The wine is then left to mature for at least 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% new and 60% first passage.

Tasting notes
Garnet red color with ruby reflections. The nose is intense and rich, with aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, ripe cherry, red plum, vanilla and delicate spices, as well as hints of tobacco and precious woods. On the palate it is broad and structured, with a mature and evolved tannic texture that integrates perfectly with an expressive and dense fruit.
Possible combinations
It pairs perfectly with large, long-cooked red meats such as braised meats, stews, or ribs and chopped marbled meats.
