Description
History
L’Apparita was the first pure Merlot crafted in Tuscany, launched in 1985. The vineyard lies at the top of the Bellavista cru, in two parcels planted on clay over limestone soil. It is trained on open‑lyre trellis to maximize exposure and airflow. Since its first vintage, Ama has worked to preserve the distinctive expression of Merlot as shaped by its local terroir.

Tasting notes
Deep violet with dark hues. Aromas of black fruits, wild cherry, plum, spice, cocoa, sweet tobacco and mineral hints. On the palate it is enveloping, with rich yet silky tannins, robust structure, balanced acidity and a long finish with elegant fruit and toasted echoes.
Food pairing
Pairs beautifully with hearty red meats, wild boar stews, braised dishes, game, and well-aged cheeses like pecorino. Serve at 18‑20 °C, decanted about 1 hour before.
