Description
History
The Montebuoni vineyard was purchased and replanted by Castello di Ama in 1997, located on a hill ridge parallel to the renowned Bellavista vineyard, at elevations between 420‑500 meters, with exposures that encourage temperature swings. The Montebuoni cuvée debuted with the 2018 vintage, intended to bridge the density and structure of the “San Lorenzo” label with the drinkability and vibrancy of the younger “Ama”. It is grown under sustainable viticulture, certified by Equalitas.

Deep ruby red with purple highlights. Aromas of blackberry, plum and currant, with earthy undertones, tobacco, aromatic herbs and a hint of minerality. On the palate, full‑bodied with well‑integrated yet firm tannins, balanced acidity providing lift, long and persistent finish with echoes of mature fruit and spice.
Food pairing
Pairs beautifully with hearty red meats, braised dishes, game, porcini mushrooms, rich sauces, roasted meats and aged cheeses. Serve around 18‑20 °C.
