Description
History
The Antinori family is one of the longest-lived wine dynasties in Tuscany; in fact, it has been producing wine in the region for 25 generations, exactly since 1385. The company takes its name from the locality 6 km south-west of Montalcino, it has 185 hectares of land, 65 of which are vineyards and highly suited to the production of wine . The estate has been owned by the family since 1995.

Production method
After the harvest, the must remains in contact with its skins for a period of about three weeks, subsequently abandoning the steel to allow itself to be aged in wood. The refinement is in small barrels of dimensions of 5 hl up to 30 hl.

Tasting notes
Intense ruby red colour. On the nose notes of ripe red fruit, cherry and wild berry jam, intense spices of tobacco, black pepper, cloves, dark chocolate and licorice. On the palate mature, with good structure and complex, harmonious and closed by acidity and balanced tannins.
Possible combinations
Perfect on savory and spicy red meat dishes or game such as stews, stewed wild boar or venison, braised meat, roasts, roast duck or chicken livers.
