Description
History
In 1974, Giuseppe Mori purchased Marroneto, a company now managed by his son Alessandro. While the lawyer Mori plants the first vines, the brothers Andrea and Alessandro show a strong interest. The family began producing wine in the limited rooms of Marroneto, developing passion and dedication. Although his father and Andrea pursue legal careers, Alessandro decides to dedicate himself completely to Marroneto and his Brunello, transforming his passion into a philosophy of life. Today, after over 30 years, Marroneto is among the ten historic companies of Montalcino, recognized for its national and international excellence, thanks to the commitment of Alessandro Mori. Brunello del Marroneto, aged according to tradition, is an elegant and classic wine, a symbol of the love and care used in its creation.
Grapes used
100% Sangiovese Grosso
Production method
The vineyards are located on soils based on sand mixed with other minerals and come entirely from the historic vineyard adjacent to the church of the Madonna delle Grazie, from which it takes its name. After the manual harvest, the wine ferments in 40hl oak vats for approximately 16/17 days. Subsequently the wine ages in 25 quintal oak barrels for 41 months. After the 5 years foreseen by the specifications it finally becomes Brunello and can be placed on the market.

Tasting notes
Intense ruby red in color with garnet notes, the wine has an out of the ordinary floral bouquet with notes of ripe but still very “bright” red fruit; symphony of spices and soil notes close the olfactory analysis. In the mouth it is long, complete and enveloping, with a fresh and savory finish.
Possible combinations
It is an ideal companion for second courses based on red meat, game or can be appreciated as a wine to be tasted calmly and thoughtfully.
