Description
History
Bruna Grimaldi is a historic family-run winery in the Langhe, rooted in the winemaking traditions of Serralunga d’Alba. The Camilla cru is renowned for producing wines with strong structure and longevity, due to limestone-marl soils and a distinct sense of place. The 2022 harvest benefited from balanced climatic conditions, yielding a wine with excellent equilibrium between acidity, body and aromatic depth.
Grape variety
Nebbiolo 100%
Vinification
Hand-harvested Nebbiolo grapes are fermented in stainless steel with temperature control and extended maceration to extract structure and aromatic intensity. After natural malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in large Slavonian oak casks with a controlled proportion of French oak, followed by extended bottle ageing to harmonise aromas and structure.
Alcohol content
Approx. 14.5%
Tasting notes
Intense garnet red. Aromas of ripe red fruit, black cherry, plum, dried rose, sweet spices, aromatic herbs and subtle balsamic hints. On the palate: structured and enveloping with fine yet present tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, persistent finish featuring fruit and spice echoes.
Food pairings
Pairs beautifully with roasted and braised red meats, game, truffle dishes, robust risottos and aged cheeses. Also excellent as a contemplative wine, especially after further ageing in bottle.
