Description
History
Domaine Sylvie Esmonin, located in Gevrey Chambertin, is a prestigious producer of Burgundy wines. With 8 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, mainly dedicated to Pinot Noir, their wines exhibit a remarkable combination of typical Gevrey firmness and silky elegance. Sylvie, an agricultural engineer, took over the company in 1986 and radically changed her philosophy towards independent winemaking. They practice organic farming, attach great importance to plant health and experiment with biodynamic approaches.
