Description
History
In Burgundy, not everything has centuries-old roots. Domaine La Croix Montjoie was founded in 2009 by Sophie and Matthieu Woillez, young agronomists and oenologists. Their Chardonnay vineyards span ten hectares in the municipality of Tharoiseau, with a cellar located on the old castle farm. They produce different cuvées by selecting the grapes based on the ripeness and age of the vines. The clay-limestone soil produces wines such as Bourgogne Vézelay, Crémant de Bourgogne and Irancy. Since 2014, the use of new barrels has further improved the quality of the Domaine’s wines.
