Description
History
The Giacomo Conterno winery produces Barolo Riserva Monfortino, an icon of Italian red wine. Founded in 1900 by Giacomo, descendant of a family of wine producers, the winery began bottling Barolo in 1912 and produced the first Barolo Monfortino in 1924. In 1974, the winery acquired Cascina Francia in Serralunga d’Alba to produce high quality Nebbiolo and Barbera grapes.

Production method
Barolo Riserva Monfortino is a wine produced with great attention to winemaking, selecting the best grapes and individual parcels of the Francia vineyard. The wine ages for 6 years in large barrels and each lot is tasted annually to be chosen only from the best vintages.

Intense garnet red wine with notes of ripe fruit, roses, spices, tobacco and bitter chocolate. On the palate it is elegant and persistent, offering a unique and unforgettable sensory experience. To be tried at least once in a lifetime to appreciate its excellence.

Is it really important what we pair with such a wine? Technically, the typology goes perfectly with very tasty and long-cooked red meat or game dishes, but we advise you to make yourself comfortable and concentrate on the emotions and sensations that only a legend of this kind can give you.
