History
The Allegrini family is an important family in the world of wine in the Valpolicella area; documents attest to the presence of the latter in the area as early as the sixteenth century. One of the leading figures in the family was Giovanni Allegrini, who began working in the company at a very young age and greatly perfected the art of winemaking. Today the company is skilfully led by their children Franco Allegrini and Marilisa Allegrini and their respective children, who follow the path already traced by Giovanni.

Production method
Amarone is usually produced starting from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes which are dried for 3-4 months before fermentation. The wine then matures in wooden barrels for at least two years, giving life to a full-bodied, concentrated wine with fruity and spicy notes.

Tasting notes
The wine has an intense ruby red color with lively reflections. On the nose you can perceive fruity notes of red fruit, especially ripe cherries, followed by spicy notes of black pepper, cloves and aromatic herbs. On the palate, the wine is full with well-present but not aggressive tannins, and a freshness that balances it perfectly. In addition, a mineral note emerges.
Possible combinations
Ideal pairings with risotto with meat sauce, roasted and grilled meat, stewed red meat, game, seasoned and blue cheeses.
