Description
History
Girlan/Cornaiano is a village of which there are historical documents since 1085; the variety of soils, the altitude which varies from 250 to 550 m a.s.l. and the particular microclimate make it an area particularly suited to the cultivation of native and international vines. However, the current cellar was founded in 1923 thanks to the foresight of 23 members, who will see the company continue to evolve, until the inauguration of new premises and more modern production facilities in 2010.

Sauvignon 100%
Production method
The grapes are harvested strictly by hand in crates so that only the best bunches are used. The still very fresh grapes are then destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation takes place at low temperature in stainless steel vats. A period of refinement in stainless steel also follows before bottling and being placed on the market.

Tasting notes
Pale straw yellow color with intense reflections. On the nose sensations of nettle, sage, elderberry and very marked wild herbs, all balanced by a good minerality. These aromatic notes are clearly perceptible in the mouth together with the initial softness of the wine, then cut by a very pleasant lively acidity that prepares you for the next sip. Long aftertaste that takes up the scents previously felt in the nose of sage and elderberry.
Possible combinations
Girlan Sauvignon “Indra” is perfect for lovers of fragrant and intense white wines. Perfect for lovers of the genre to drink by the glass or as a refreshing aperitif on a spring/summer evening. As an accompaniment it lends itself to platters of fresh cheeses, first courses with white sauces, delicate fish such as baked cod and delicate second courses of white meat.
