History
Domaine de la Vougeraie, renowned for its biodynamic approach and artisanal care, is located in the heart of Burgundy. Clos de Prieuré, a monopole of the domaine, is a historic parcel with limestone-rich soils that impart a unique minerality to the wine. The domaine’s philosophy emphasizes respect for the terroir and biodiversity, producing authentic and profound wines.
Grapes used
- 100% Chardonnay.
Production method
- Harvest: Handpicked, with rigorous selection of the best grapes.
- Vinification: Gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels.
- Aging: Aged for 14-16 months in French oak barrels (30% new oak), followed by additional bottle aging.

Tasting notes
- Color: Bright straw yellow with golden highlights.
- Aroma: Elegant notes of citrus, green apple, white flowers, and subtle hints of almond and vanilla.

Perfect with refined fish dishes, shellfish, noble poultry, delicate risottos, and soft cheeses. Also excellent with dishes featuring white truffles.
