Description
History
La Massa is located in Panzano and was born from the will of Giampaolo Motta, who decided to invest in his personal vision. Giampaolo comes from a family linked to the leather industry, but he has always been passionate about the world of wine; after studying at the Bordeaux oenology institute he returned to Italy and worked for some well-known Chianti Classico companies. He will then purchase the La Massa agricultural company and begin his journey / revolution with this company. After 10 years he leaves the Chianti Classico consortium, determined to experiment with the Bordeaux style down to the smallest details. The company’s two highly successful labels will then arrive: “La Massa” which is a blend of the typical Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which combines the liveliness and freshness of Sangiovese and Chianti Classico with greater elegance derived from international vines, as if to unite these two territories through an invisible thread and “Giorgio Primo”, a Bordeaux blend in all respects dedicated to his grandfather, to whom he promised to create a great wine with aging potential.
