History
Produced at the historic Tenuta Tignanello in the heart of Chianti Classico, Solaia originates from select high-quality parcels characterized by alberese and galestro soils, ideal for structured international varieties and outstanding Sangiovese. As one of the original Supertuscans, it exemplifies Antinori’s ambition to craft a world-class wine. Each vintage results from meticulous vineyard work and strict fruit selection.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc
Vinification
Fermented in stainless steel with precise temperature control, followed by extended maceration. Aged around 18 months in new French oak barriques. Each parcel is vinified separately and blended only after thorough tasting and evaluation.

Tasting notes
Deep ruby red. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, violet, dark chocolate, sweet tobacco and fine spices. On the palate it is rich and enveloping, with silky yet powerful tannins, vibrant acidity and impeccable balance. The finish is long, elegant and layered. Already impressive, with enormous future potential.
Food pairings
Perfect with important roasts, grilled red meat, game, lamb rack, braised dishes, porcini mushrooms and aged cheeses. Also ideal as a meditation wine or for significant occasions.
