Description
History
Eva Fricke founded her winery in Rheingau, Germany, after experiences in Australia, Bordeaux, Piedmont, and Ribera del Duero. Since 2006, she has developed a reputation for producing high-quality dry Rieslings, focusing on organic and biodynamic practices to best express the unique terroir of the region.
Production method
The grapes come from vineyards located in Lorch, in the western part of Rheingau, characterized by slate and quartzite soils. Harvesting is done by hand, ensuring the selection of the best clusters. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging on fine lees for several months, giving the wine structure and complexity.
Alcohol content
13% vol.
Tasting notes
On the nose, the wine presents aromas of Amalfi lemon, green apple, and wet stone mineral notes. On the palate, it is dry and filigree, with surprising minerality and a long, bright finish. The freshness and lively acidity make it particularly suitable for aging.
Possible pairings
Ideal with fish dishes, seafood, and white meats. Its balanced acidity makes it perfect also with spicy Asian cuisine. Excellent as an aperitif or paired with fresh cheeses.
