Description
History
Eva Fricke founded her winery in Rheingau, Germany, after experiences in Australia, Bordeaux, Piedmont, and Ribera del Duero. Since 2006, she has developed a reputation for producing high-quality dry Rieslings, focusing on organic and biodynamic practices to best express the unique terroir of the region.
Production method
The grapes come from various vineyards in Rheingau, with soils ranging from sandy to clayey, including slate and quartzite. Harvesting is done by hand, ensuring the selection of the best clusters. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging on fine lees for several months, giving the wine structure and complexity.
Alcohol content
12% vol.
Tasting notes
On the nose, the wine presents a clear Riesling bouquet, with aromas of juicy apple, apple peel, fresh lemons, ripe peach, and herbal spice. On the palate, it offers nice traction, with a juicy core of apple, lemon, and white peach, accompanied by saline minerality and lively acidity, with good length.
Possible pairings
Ideal with fish dishes, seafood, and white meats. Its balanced acidity makes it perfect also with spicy Asian cuisine. Excellent as an aperitif or paired with fresh cheeses.
