History
Founded in 1923, Cantina Girlan is located in the heart of South Tyrol, one of Italy’s most prestigious wine regions. With a long tradition and an innovative approach, the winery stands out for producing high-quality wines that reflect the region’s unique terroir. The Trattmann is one of the flagship wines of the estate, known for its elegance and distinctive character.

Production Method
The grapes, handpicked from the best vineyards, are vinified with great care. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats with skin contact to extract color and aromas. The wine is aged for approximately 12 months in French oak barriques, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle aging to ensure harmony and complexity.

13.5% vol.
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of wild berries, cherries, and raspberries, with elegant hints of sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate, it is velvety and well-balanced, with soft tannins and vibrant freshness. The finish is long and enveloping, with notes of forest floor and a delicate minerality.
Food Pairing
Perfect with red meats, game, roasted poultry, and aged cheeses. It also pairs well with pasta dishes featuring rich sauces, mushrooms, and truffle-based preparations.
