History
Lona Ester is a small artisanal winery working in cool, breezy sites perfectly suited to Pinot Noir. The philosophy revolves around careful vineyard management, low yields and gentle, respectful winemaking aimed at highlighting purity and finesse. The 2023 vintage shows clarity, balance and lifted aromatics typical of the estate’s style.

Vinification
Hand-harvested grapes, gentle fermentation in stainless-steel vats with light maceration, followed by ageing in used French oak barrels and tonneaux to enhance texture without overpowering the fruit. Bottle ageing ensures full integration and harmony.

Tasting notes
Bright ruby red. Aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry, dried rose petals, light spices and a subtle balsamic touch. The palate is graceful and vibrant, with fine tannins, lively acidity and a mineral core that adds depth and verticality. Long, clean and refreshing finish.
Food pairings
Perfect with white meats, duck, roasted chicken, delicate charcuterie, beef tartare, mushrooms, light pastas and refined vegetarian dishes. Excellent slightly chilled for a versatile, convivial red.
