Founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, Maison Krug stands out for its unique philosophy: creating Champagne of the highest quality annually, transcending climatic conditions. The Grande Cuvée is the most emblematic expression of this philosophy, recreated each year through meticulous blending of reserve wines and the current vintage.

Production method
The 172ème Édition was composed around the 2016 harvest, marked by contrasting weather conditions, with a very rainy spring followed by a hot summer. To create this edition, reserve wines from the House’s extensive library were selected, representing 42% of the final blend, ensuring the breadth and roundness typical of the Grande Cuvée
