Description
History
Founded in 1798 in Châlons-sur-Marne, Maison Jacquesson is renowned for its innovative approach to Champagne production. Under the guidance of brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, the company introduced the numbered “700” series cuvées, each primarily based on a single vintage, emphasizing the expression of the year rather than stylistic consistency. In 2023, Artémis Domaines acquired Champagne Jacquesson, aiming to continue the legacy of producing exceptional Champagnes that embody craftsmanship and terroir.
Grapes used
-
45% Chardonnay
-
31% Pinot Noir
-
24% Pinot Meunier
Production method
The grapes are sourced mainly from the vineyards of Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers (75%), and Avize, Oiry (25%). Vinification and aging occur in large oak casks on the lees, without filtration or fining, to best express the diversity of individual plots. The cuvée matures on the lees for at least four years before disgorgement, with a final dosage of 1.5 g/l, classifying it as Extra Brut.

-
Color: Bright golden yellow with fine, persistent bubbles.
-
Nose: Complex aromas of dried fruits, green apple, and subtle toasted nuances.
-
Palate: Fresh and lively on the attack, followed by a beautiful fullness. The silky texture and perfect balance between acidity and roundness lead to a mineral and slightly brioche-like finish.
Possible pairings
This Champagne pairs wonderfully with sophisticated dishes such as lobster, sushi, or aged cheeses like mimolette or munster. For desserts, it ideally complements dry biscuits, galette des rois, or Baked Alaska.
