Description
History
Winery Huber, based in Malterdingen in the Baden region of Germany, is known for expressing local and traditional grape varieties with respect for terroir. The Malterdingen Weisser line is a flagship white blend crafted from selected high-quality grapes from surrounding vineyards. The 2021 vintage highlights balanced ripeness and a distinctive mineral character shaped by local soils.

Vinification
Grapes are harvested by hand or with gentle mechanical assistance and vinified to preserve aromatic purity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to retain freshness, with ageing on fine lees and light bâtonnage to build texture while maintaining balance.

Tasting notes
Bright straw yellow with green highlights. Aromas of white pear, apple, citrus and white flowers with a subtle mineral backdrop. The palate is fresh and lively with well-balanced acidity, saline energy and a clean, lingering finish.
Food pairings
Pairs well with seafood appetizers, shellfish, sushi, hearty salads, delicate risottos, refined vegetarian dishes and fresh cheeses. Also excellent as an elegant aperitif or with citrus and herb-accented dishes.
