Description
History
Three parallel rows of hills dominate the right bank of the Gironde estuary, overlooking the Margaux region of the Médoc. Côtes de Bourg is one of the oldest AOCs in Bordeaux, known for its great charm and nicknamed “the little Girondin Switzerland”. This appellation is located 35 km north-west of Bordeaux, on the right bank of the estuary, near the village of Bourg-sur-Gironde.

Production method
The grapes are harvested at the optimal moment of full ripeness, followed by a destemming and maceration process which lasts for approximately twenty days. Subsequently, we move on to the pneumatic pressing and mixing phase. The wine is then left to mature for at least 18 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting notes
Ruby red colour. On the nose an intense but elegant woody, which opens generously to notes of ripe red berry fruit. On the palate it is very soft, sweet and dense, with velvety tannins that support it.
Possible combinations
It pairs perfectly with large, long-cooked red meats such as braised meats, stews, or ribs and chopped marbled meats.
