Description
History
Cantina Girlan was founded in 1923 in the historic village of Cornaiano (Girlan), in the heart of Alto Adige’s Oltradige district. Today it is one of the region’s most respected cooperative wineries, bringing together growers from some of Alto Adige’s finest vineyard sites. This Pinot Grigio belongs to the Classici range, dedicated to expressing the elegance and authenticity of the local terroir.

Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in small containers to preserve their quality. After gentle pressing, the must is clarified through natural sedimentation. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing on the fine lees in stainless steel to enhance texture, balance and aromatic purity.

Tasting notes
Bright straw yellow in colour. The bouquet offers delicate aromas of white fruit, apple, pear and subtle floral notes. On the palate it is soft, elegant and well balanced, with lively freshness, gentle minerality and a clean, persistent finish.
Food pairings
Ideal with asparagus, seafood starters, fish dishes, shellfish, delicate white meats, fresh salads and soft cheeses. It also makes an excellent aperitif.
