Description
History
Weingut Abraham is a family-run winery located in Appiano, South Tyrol. Founded in 2011 by Martin and Marlies Abraham, the estate is dedicated to producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region, with a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach. Gewürztraminer has been cultivated in South Tyrol since the Middle Ages, consistently producing aromatic and vigorous wines. Weingut Abraham strives to preserve the unmistakable character of Gewürztraminer, without added sugars, through spontaneous fermentation and aging in used oak barrels.

- 100% Gewürztraminer
Production method
- Harvest: Manual harvesting from vineyards located at approximately 500 meters above sea level, with eastern exposure, on calcareous and clay soils.
- Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation on the skins for four weeks in open vats, to extract the typical aromatic notes of the grape variety.
- Aging: After gentle pressing, the wine matures in used 500-liter oak barrels for a period ranging from 12 to 20 months, without fining or filtration.

- 14% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Bright golden yellow.
- Aroma: Intense aromas of tropical fruit, rose petals, lychee, and orange blossom, with balsamic nuances on the finish.
- Taste: On the palate, it is persuasive, rich, and complex, with light and pleasant tannins, and the characteristic aromaticity of the grape variety.
Possible pairings
It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, mollusks, crustaceans, and fried seafood. Also interesting with vegetable-based dishes and fresh cheeses.
