Description
History
Francesco De Franco is a winemaker who deeply knows his vineyards and his grapes, as demonstrated by his wines, he owns 8 hectares of vineyards in the Cirò area, cultivated with varieties such as Gaglioppo, Magliocco and Greco, without the use of chemical substances or synthetic. In the cellar, the philosophy remains unchanged, with spontaneous fermentations and a minimum quantity of sulphites added at the time of bottling.

Production method
Grapes harvested by hand in a single vineyard called Fego, are destemmed so that the must ferments spontaneously in steel containers, where it remains in contact with the yeasts for 9 months. Before bottling, the wine does not undergo clarification or filtration, and rests briefly in the bottle before being put on the market.

Tasting notes
Almost orange-pink colour. On the nose you can clearly perceive the salinity of the Ionian Sea, which the vineyards overlook, together with notes of wild strawberries, juniper and other hints of the Mediterranean scrub, which invite you to metaphorically and literally immerse yourself in the glass. On the palate, the wine once again reflects its land of origin vividly, combining a lively sunny touch with a refined and persistent flavor.
Possible combinations
Perfect with delicate fish dishes or well-seasoned bruschetta, seafood appetizers and grilled prawns.
