Description
History
Produced in Panzano’s “Conca d’Oro” amphitheater, Fontodi sources Sangiovese from multiple parcels. The warm 2007 vintage, with an early harvest, delivered concentrated, ripe fruit and has scored consistently above 95.

Steel fermentation, 24 months in new French oak barriques, pure expression with no white blending.

Tasting notes
Bright ruby. Aromas of dark cherry, currant, mint, sweet spices, coffee and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and enveloping, with velvety tannins and balanced freshness; long, savory, persistent finish.
Food pairings
Ideal with roasted or braised red meats, game, Florentine steak, and aged cheeses.
