Description
History
Crafted by Torre alle Tolfe, a small artisan estate of about 13 hectares near Siena, this wine reflects a traditional, integrated viticulture philosophy dedicated to highlighting Sangiovese grown on Siena’s soils.
Grape varieties
100% Sangiovese sourced from the estate’s vineyards.
Vinification (and aging)
Traditional maceration for about one month followed by one year of aging in concrete tanks, preserving varietal purity and fruit freshness.
Alcohol content
Approximately 14% vol, typical of the Colli Senesi DOCG style.
Tasting notes
Color: bright ruby
Nose: ripe red fruits, particularly cherry and wild berries, underpinned by a subtle earthy and spicy tone.
Palate: medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, silky tannins, and a graceful balance between fruit and structure. The finish is refined with spice undertones.
Food pairings
Perfect with grilled or braised red meats, ragù pasta, semi-aged cheeses, and traditional Tuscan dishes such as ribollita and bistecca alla fiorentina.
