Description
History
Jurij Fiore, son of renowned winemaker Vittorio Fiore, crafts his wines in the scenic Lamole, at the heart of Chianti Classico. The winery’s philosophy revolves around artisanal practices and sustainability, with a deep respect for the terroir. The name “Porcaccia Miseria” reflects Jurij’s emotional and creative connection to his land and craft.
Grapes used
100% Sangiovese.
Production method
- Harvest: Handpicked, with careful selection of the best bunches.
- Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in cement vats, with no clarification or filtration.
- Aging: Aged in cement vats for about 12 months, followed by a short bottle aging.
Alcohol content
13.5% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Deep ruby red with bright highlights.
- Aroma: Aromas of cherry and ripe red fruits, complemented by floral notes, sweet spices, and earthy nuances.
- Taste: Structured and enveloping, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, balanced finish.
Possible pairings
Perfect with meat dishes such as roasts and braised meats, as well as pasta with ragù, legume soups, and aged cheeses. An excellent companion for traditional Tuscan cuisine.
