Description
History
Château Latour-Martillac, located in the heart of the Graves region, boasts a long winemaking tradition dating back to the 12th century. The Kressmann family acquired the estate in 1930, maintaining a focus on quality and respect for the terroir. The château owes its name to the tower that adorns the courtyard, a vestige of an ancient fortification.
Grapes used
- 66% Cabernet Sauvignon
- 27% Merlot
- 7% Petit Verdot
Production method
- Harvest: Manual harvesting conducted from September 26 to October 16, 2014.
- Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control to preserve the aromatic integrity of the grapes.
- Aging: 16 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new, to impart complexity and structure to the wine.

13.5% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Deep purple-red with dark highlights.
- Aroma: Aromas of fresh black fruits, such as blackcurrant and blackberry, accompanied by balsamic notes and sweet spices.
- Taste: On the palate, the wine is dense and powerful, with velvety tannins and a balanced structure; the finish is long, featuring notes of cherry, juicy plum, violet, and sweet spices.
Pairing suggestions
Pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, such as roasts and stews, game, and aged cheeses. Also excellent with French cuisine dishes like coq au vin or boeuf bourguignon.
