History
Domaine Roger Belland is a historic family-run winery located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. For five generations, the Belland family has been cultivating and producing high-quality wines, combining traditional methods with modern techniques to best express the distinctive characteristics of their vineyards. The Clos Pitois, situated in the Premier Cru Morgeot of Chassagne-Montrachet, is a monopole of the Domaine, meaning an exclusively owned vineyard, allowing complete control over the quality and expression of the wine produced.​

Production method
The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo rigorous selection to ensure only the best fruit is used. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in French oak barrels, a portion of which are new, for a period that varies depending on the characteristics of the vintage. This process allows the wine to develop aromatic complexity and structure while maintaining the elegance typical of Pinot Noir.​

Tasting notes

• Color: Bright ruby red.​

• Nose: Complex aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, with floral notes of violet and hints of spice and toast from the oak aging.​

• Palate: Elegant and harmonious, with silky tannins and pleasant freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with fruity and spicy echoes.​
