Description

History

Giovanni Neri has always been fascinated by the intensity and aroma of the Sangiovese that he masters in Montalcino. Precisely on one of his trips to these lands, his attention was captured by a property of about 200 hectares: Podere Casanova, where wine is a marginal part of the entire agricultural production. But his skills allow him to immediately understand that the composition of the soil and the altitude with the relative climatic context can give the best Brunello in Italy. It was May 1971 and Podere Casanova, located in the better known Podere Fiesole, became Casanova de Neri.
