Description
History
Located in Benais, in the heart of the Bourgueil appellation, Domaine du Bel Air is run by the Gauthier family, who produce high-quality wines with respect for local tradition. Since 2000, the vineyard has been certified organic. “Jour de Soif” is a cuvée designed to highlight the freshness and purity of Cabernet Franc.
Grapes used
- 100% Cabernet Franc.
Production method
- Harvest: Handpicked, with careful selection of grapes from 20-year-old vines on gravel and clay soils.
- Vinification: Fermented with indigenous yeasts, with a short maceration of about 8 days to preserve freshness and aromas.
- Aging: Brief aging in stainless steel tanks to maintain liveliness and freshness.

13% vol.
Tasting notes
- Color: Bright purple red.
- Aroma: Notes of strawberry, cherry, floral hints, and a touch of spice.
- Taste: Light and juicy, with soft tannins and lively acidity balancing the fruity flavors.
Possible pairings
Perfect with cured meats, poultry, vegetarian dishes, and summer barbecues. Also excellent with fresh cheeses. Best served slightly chilled, especially on warm days.
