History
Botrosecco is produced in the Maremma Toscana DOC at the Le Mortelle estate, part of the Antinori portfolio. Antinori has been developing quality vineyards in this Mediterranean coastal region to produce wines that faithfully reflect the terroir and climate.
Grape variety
Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Cabernet Franc 40%
Vinification
Hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and fermented with controlled temperatures, with maceration lasting about 15 days to extract colour, structure and aromas. After natural malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for about 12 months in oak barriques, adding elegance and depth, followed by a short bottle rest before release.

Tasting notes
Intense ruby red. Aromas of ripe red fruit such as currant and morello cherry with spicy hints of white pepper, tobacco and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate: full, harmonious and structured with soft tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, flavourful finish.
Food pairings
Pairs beautifully with roasted and braised red meats, game, meat-based pastas, grilled meats and aged cheeses. Excellent with robust Tuscan dishes or enjoyed with richly flavored foods.
